My journey over the last four years has taken me deeper into the world of Scaled Agile in the context of the Data domain. I've been able to help introduce the SAFE methodology to multiple data teams that form part of a data program driving large-scale data lake

migration (AWS), legacy data warehouse modernisation as well as enterprise data catalogue workstreams for South Africa's largest insurer. My role has involved enabling program prioritisation/demand practices by working with the Chief data officer and other senior

stakeholders across the data, marketing/campaigns, IT and business areas and driving multiple ad-hoc initiatives aimed at solving complex business problems with cross-functional teams (Exco level mandate). During the course of the last three years I have delivered

major outcomes within the data programmes and had the privilege to coach various stakeholders on both a team and programme level (senior Management) within the Data Practice and in so doing mature the current Agile practices with the ultimate goal of delivering value consistently across all pillars of the programme. My "Every day" involves facilitating and managing multiple cross-functional teams of Data Engineers, Analytics and Data Management professionals that are geographically spread across South Africa, India and Europe.
